finished size approximately 55cm (22”) square select eight different fabrics in solid colors. for best results use heavy, home décor weight fabrics, leather, faux leather, etc. cut two pieces 90x9cm (35½”c3½”) long from each fabric. make two units composed of eight strips (one of each color) by sewing the long sides together with a ¼” 6mm (¼”) seam allowance. cut a 45º degree angle on the short end of one unit and then cut into four pieces 7.5cm (3”) wide. cut a 315º angle on the short end of the second unit and then cut into four pieces 7.5cm (3”) wide. sew pieces with opposite angles together to create the zigzag pattern. the idt™ system makes it surprisingly easy to achieve perfect results. select one of the fabrics for the backing and complete as desired, using a zipper or buttons and buttonholes for a closure. good luck with your project!
